February 2008:

Hi guys!The new album is ready!

We finally have the mastered version in our hands and

we can say that the result is awesome.

The time spent with Luigi Stefanini at New Sin studio has been, as always,

really productive!

The new songs will kick asses!

A big "thank you" also to Glenn Fricker of the canadian Spectre-sound studios.

His job was really important for the creation of the new

impressive Ashent's guitar's sound!

Since the beginning of this new year, our collaboration with Lucretia records ended!

But during the next weeks, Flaws of Elation will be avaiable on I-Tunes and on the most important

digital platforms through the web.

More detailed "infos" in the next days.

Now we're looking for a new label and valuating new offerings

for the 2nd album just recorded.

During these weeks we're also hardly working on the new artwork,

that will be really complex.

We finished the mix of the new songs on the December 19th.

We're only waiting for the mastering session, that will be done at the end of January.

2nd ALBUM.News from the studio:

Hi guys!

In these last days we ended to record all guitars, bass, keyboards and voice!

Now, we'll have some days-off before the starting of the mixing-session.

November 2007:

Intense period, guys!

Now, we are in the middle of the whole production.

We searched for a "serious kick-ass-guitar-sound" and...

we found it!

The new riffs sound like an earthquake!

This time we're doing a massive use of the seven strings guitars.

November, 26th: hi guys, first step done!

Davide finished to record his stuff.

As always, he did an awesome job, mixing a great technical drumming with impact and groove!

Now, we have a couple of day-off, before the starting of the guitar's recording.

Hi guys! The band is hardly working on the upcoming album.

The recording sessions are scheduled for the end of this year.
Steve (singer):
"Everyday that I sit in my home studio working on the new songs I get more and more excited.

This by far is the greatest work of music that I have ever been part of.

The songs are heavier yet more melodic with huge harmonies and singable choruses.

I can't wait for our fans, friends and family to experience this musicial journey that we are creating.

I am humbled that I am able to be a part of such a great group of guys not only as musicians but as my family.

"The compositive process has been a continous flow of motivating forces,

energies and the will of improving ourselves. Every track has been a match,

a new moody approach to the instrument and the song form.

Essentially,the new album is a deconstruction and recomposition of Ashent's main style"
Onofrio(guitar player):
"This new album is becoming, day after day, a so complex creature.
It's difficult to explain, but it will be not properly "only" the natural follow up of "Flaws of Elation".
We searched a more effective way to express feelings and to provoke emotions.
There will be the impact, the melodies and the tecnique of that album,

but with many new elements inside, and something totally never done before.
Every song will be a different experience, with an own soul"

Paolo(keyboard player):

"In the new album I believe we succeeded in innovating Ashent’s style much further compared to our debut tracks.

The composition process brought to life the heaviest and most direct material that the band has ever played.

I am thrilled to be part of such a talented team of musicians and look forward to nailing each song in the recording studio"
